Ensure the PVC Steel reinforced cable is always dry, as when wet, poor grip will result between coupling and cable.

Over a period of time you may notice black rubber marks on the PVC covered steel reinforced cable, this is perfectly normal and will not affect the operation of your "Golflok", however these marks can be easily removed, simply by using a diluted solution of liquid soap, with a damp cloth gently rub the area and the marks should disappear, please do not use an abrasive cloth or pad as this will result in scoring of the PVC Covered cable, which could result in poor grip being maintained between coupling and cable.

Dirty marks on the cover of your "Golflok" cover can be removed in the same way.

Your "Golflok" Security device should give you many years of untroubled use, however over a period of time or after excessive use the rubber friction washers may wear or perish, these can be replaced fairly easily, you can purchase a spare set of rubber friction washers on line, just add to your basket from this page.
