With the growing number of golfers in Ireland and beyond there is usually someone who benefits, maybe the golf-course owner or the golf-pro giving lessons, but what about the thief who now benefits from the endless amount of gear that can be lifted from outside the packed golf-clubs.

I have often wondered how you could secure your clubs given that you could secure the bag but someone could still walk off with your £500 driver. Easy pickings for the golf club hijackers. This is a great idea where this yellow hood fits over the top of all your club heads while in the bag, you then tighten the steel noose along a brass sliding bolt and then with a combination lock you lock down the brass piece with all the clubs inside the hood. The other end of the steel cord then goes through the handle of your bag and through, or around something on the wall of the club or at the bag drop. Then you secure this end into the lock also. Genius and very simple.

All the clubs are very secure inside the impervious heavy duty hood and very safe. We had one rushed over to test and it worked a treat. I'm sure you could even secure your bag even at home in the shed using the same device or if on holidays to stop un-wanted hands on your clubs.

That's a great opportunity for a club-logo or some company to sponsor the hoods and I'm very sure that all golfers would use this, especially as it only takes a couple of seconds to secure the clubs.

It's a pity that we even have to consider a product such as this and I'm sure the Golf-Loks inventor would not have thought of it had it not been for the loss of his son's clubs. But in these times of global golf if you aren't watching your clubs then let Golf-Lok do it for you.
